In the following, any mentioning of „us“ or „our“ relates to Blue Charm the Movie – DVD Sales, represented by Ian Gordon, Keith Banffshire, Scotland. We appreciate your visit to our web site and your interest in our offerings. The correct handling of your data while respecting your privacy rights as well as the observance of your right to informational self-determination in the use of your personal data is an important concern for us. In this policy we inform you which date we collect for which purpose, how long we store data and which rights under data privacy law you can exercise against us, if we process your data.

In the first section we provide general information on our data protection. In other sections we explain how data are processed on our web site „Blue Charm the Movie“ as well as for our business purposes.  

Our web site does not deploy any web tracking software.

Your rights in regard to your data processed by us

As a data subject you may exercise your right of access to your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR). You may have your data rectified in pursuit of Art. 16 GDPR, or on specific grounds have them erased according to Art. 17 GDPR. You have the right to withdraw your consent with processing of your data at any time, with future effect. That means that your withdrawal can only effect future processing. (2)        Automated processing of your data on our web site

(2.1)      Web server log data

In order to serve our web site contents to your browser, our web server needs to collect data that relate to you. When you access our website with your browser, the server logs the data required for the operation of a web service in the log files: the name of your browser, the name of your internet service provider, the IP address of your PC, the address of the site from which you accessed our website, the name of your operating system, the web pages you visit, and the date and duration of your visit.  This data is automatically collected. Recipient of these data is the hosting provider who runs the web service for us. On legal ground of  the provider’s legitimate interest in securing the functionality of his web services the log data will be stored for seven days. If required, the provider will use the log data for error analysis and for the detection and prevention of cyber-attacks. We ourselves have only access to log data which the provider has rendered anonymous. These data no longer relate to an identifiable person and are used by ourselves or a service provider for statistical and error analysis.

Our website uses cookies.  These are small files that the web server transfers to your PC.  These files are used to track your way through the pages of our website or to accept an order.

On legal ground of legitimate interest, we use a session cookie for your management of the shopping cart. Another cookie “fontSize” has a life span of one year and stores a pre-set for our web site appearance

(2.3)      Google Fonts

On grounds of our legitimate interest in optical improvement of our web site appearance, our content management system, which shapes our web site contents for internet usage, uses Google Fonts. Therefore, every time you access our web site, fonts are downloaded from a Google server to your browser. (3)        Processing your data on our web site

Our web site deploys a web shop which collects the data required for a purchase, maintains the shopping cart and redirects to Paypal for the payment process.

You agree to receive communications from us per eMail and that electronic communications will satisfy any legal requirement for communications to be in writing.

Legal ground for our processing is the purchased contract that we have entered into with you. It is necessary that our web shop transfers your shopping cart details as well as your name and address to Paypal. For the purpose of the payment process, your data are processed on a Paypal web site that has its own privacy policy.

If required, we keep your data on record after closure of the purchase process, to enable us to meet contractual obligations such as return of payment or warranty. Data protection regulations will be observed.

Any tax relevant data relating to your purchase will be retained for as long as tax law requires. Legal ground for this retention is our need to comply with legal requirements.
